His \u003cstrong\u003e\u003cem\u003eAvadis Distillery\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e is a modern bonded distillery with an awareness of tradition and innovation. \u003cstrong\u003e\u003cem\u003eDorothee Zilliken\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e has been running the\u003cstrong\u003e\u003cem\u003e VDP Forstmeister Geltz-Zilliken\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e estate after successfully completing her studies in viniculture, viticulture and oenology. Their estate has been producing \u003cstrong\u003e\u003cem\u003eaward-winning wines\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e for more than 270 years. The fruity and sweet Riesling produced on this 11 hectare vineyard are fully matured in wooden casks and stored three storeys below ground. Combining the \u003cstrong\u003e\u003cem\u003eknow-how in wine\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e making and the Avadis Distillery history of \u003cstrong\u003e\u003cem\u003eproducing high quality spirits\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e made it a perfect match to produce this \u003cstrong\u003e\u003cem\u003eout-of-the-box\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e Gin.\u003cbr\u003e\r\n\t \u003cbr\u003e\r\n\r\n\t\r\n\t\t\u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eFerdinand's Saar Dry Gin \u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003eis infused with more than \u003cstrong\u003e\u003cem\u003e30 botanicals\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e \u003cem\u003e(WOW!)\u003c\/em\u003e taken from the VDP Forstmeister Geltz-Zilliken vineyards located in the \u003cstrong\u003e\u003cem\u003etri-border region\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e between Germany, Luxembourg and France. Mixing 30 botanicals in a way that the ingredients don’t drown each other is an\u003cstrong\u003e\u003cem\u003e astounding accomplishment\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e. And here’s the sweet part, the part where Ferdinand Gin truly shines. Once the distillation is over, Andreas rounds-off the spirits with a \u003cstrong\u003e\u003cem\u003eprecise measure of Schiefer Riesling\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e. This adds semi-sweet flavours, resulting in an elegant and fruity character radiated throughout the Gin. Whilst the juniper is present, it is not dominating, but \u003cstrong\u003e\u003cem\u003emore subtle\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e, thusly Ferdinand Gin will fit those who want to break conventions.
